Course content

Passionate about animals? This "hands on" course based on a working farm, will explore the different aspects of animal care and management of both domestic and farm pets from rabbits to a Shire horse. This course will cover all the basics and allow you to progress onto an accredited course at college or onto employment. As part of your course you will visit an animal rescue/rehoming centre.

You will learn through hands-on activities, group discussions, practical demonstrations, completing handouts, doing quizzes and guided sessions. Learning will take place both indoors and outdoors, on the farm and at another animal-focused establishment. You will reflect, ask questions, and share experiences. All learning materials will be provided, and you will be encouraged to build your own learning journal throughout the course to reflect on your progress and experiences.
