Natural Wellbeing

Why not take some time out for you? This course will provide you with an opportunity to care for yourself by connecting with nature and using the earth's natural resources to create products for your self-care.

Who is this course aimed at?

Staffordshire residents aged 19+.

Course Content

With nature as our backdrop, inspiration and resource we will explore ways we can feel better and live more! With in-person sessions giving us the opportunity to connect with nature and others on the group, and online sessions aimed at being creative and focusing on self-care, this course provides a wonderfully rounded approach to embracing the benefits of nature.

Learning Methods

This is a 14-hour course held over 4 weeks with some 'in person' and some online elements. We will meet in person at the start and end of the course for 4 hours each session. In between there are 2 weeks where you will be expected to complete 3 hours each week of independent learning.

Learner Support

Your tutor guides this course and provides expert support wherever needed. We offer choice and flexibility to provide a quality learning experience. We work together to ensure the course is accessible and works for you. We offer a personal approach to our courses and are on hand to help and support throughout. Through WhatsApp groups and online platforms, we encourage learners to help each other in between the face-to-face sessions, to create a supportive learning environment.

Course Assessments

There are no formal assessments as part of this course. We ask for weekly feedback to encourage regular reflection. There are two compulsory final feedback forms to complete at the end of the course. Your family will receive a certificate of achievement at the end of this course.

Learning Materials

Throughout this course, most resources will be provided, including digital resources to explore online and any kit and equipment needed for the face to face sessions. Those on the course will need to wear suitable, weatherproof clothing and provide their own lunch. Hot drinks and snacks will be provided. 

What can learners do next/progress onto?

Many learners move onto other Community Learning courses. We also create robust links with local projects and community groups to further develop skills, knowledge and wellbeing connections. We provide ideas for next steps throughout the course tailored to individual interests and aspirations too.

07/11/2025 - 28/11/2025, Mondays 

In person sessions run from 10:00am - 2:00pm on 7th and 28th November. Emails are sent out at around 10:00am for the middle weeks.
