Staffordshire will move to very high COVID alert level on 2 December

My child does not have a school place

1

Has your child received a permanent exclusion from their current school?

Yes: Please see our separate information regarding permanent exclusions.

No: Go to number 2.

2

Please complete the in-year admission form (524 KB) and return this to your preferred school as soon as possible. If you wish to apply for a school place outside of Staffordshire you will need to approach the authority where the school is located.

3

Schools process applications as soon as they can and they will try to process your application in 10 school days. If however you do not receive a response within 10 school days, then please contact the school directly to request a written response.

4

If your child is refused a place at your preferred school you have the right to appeal this decision to an independent appeals panel. If your child remains without a school place please contact the school admissions team as soon as possible as they will be able to help identify a school place for your child.

Please remember when considering changing your child's school, or if you are moving into the area, you need to consider very carefully how you will get your child to school. Parents have a responsibility for getting their child to school. In certain circumstances transport assistance may be available.
