Petitions calling for a referendum on governance arrangements
Our governance arrangements are currently based on the 'leader and cabinet’ model introduced in 2000. Regulations provide for a referendum to be held on changes to governance arrangements if we receive a petition containing the signatures of at least 5% of the electorate (currently 33,159).
