Senior leaders in education settings who are leading work on Relational and Restorative Practice (RRP).
About the training
This 6-day, theory-based programme supports you to lead and deliver change in your setting.
The training uses the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) model of Theory of Change to explore:
- The history of RRP and its current context
- What RRP means for you and your setting
- Reflections from previous participants
- Understanding vulnerable learners
- Staffordshire’s Relational Inclusion Pathway
- Social Capital Theory
You will also cover practical approaches, including:
- The Social Discipline Window
- The Window of Tolerance
- Shame, guilt, vulnerability and compassion
- RADY (Raising the Attainment of Disadvantaged Youngsters)
- Behaviour as communication
- Equity and equality
- Preventing exclusions
- Consequences and language
- Affective statements
- Restorative conversations and enquiry
Further learning includes:
- The 4Rs and PACE approach
- Circle practice and circle etiquette
- Belonging and relational environments
- Supporting attendance and inclusion for vulnerable learners
- Capturing pupil voice, including student ambassadors
