National rider risk awareness course
Important note: If you choose to attend a retraining course, please do not continue to pay the Fixed Penalty Notice (Fine) as this will automatically cancel your course place and the points will have to be applied to your driving licence.
Once the Fixed Penalty Notice (Fine) has been paid it cannot be reversed.
What is the National Rider Risk Awareness Course?
The NRRAC course is part of the National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme, NDORS, which is licensed by UKROEd. It is a behavioural change course for those who have committed an offence whilst riding a powered two-wheeler, and who have been diverted from court by the police through the issuing of a Conditional Offer Fixed Penalty Notice (COFPN).
The course clarifies the sources of risk to riders and identifies ways that they can reduce that risk through behaviour change. The principal aim is to reduce clients’ high risk riding behaviour, and ultimately seeks to prevent a client from experiencing the likely negative consequences of their risky riding, such as road traffic collisions or loss of licence.
Who is the course for?
The National Rider Risk Awareness Course (NRRAC) is for riders whose on road behaviour could be described as thrill-seeking, anti-social or careless, but who police believe would respond well to education.
This course is suitable for recreational/leisure riders and commuters, as well courier and delivery riders whose riding behaviour has brought them to the attention of the police with a wide range of offences triggering referral."
Course availability in Staffordshire
There are currently no National Rider Risk Awareness courses available through Staffordshire County Council.
At present we are not offering any online or classroom-based NRRAC courses, and there are no scheduled course dates available for booking.

How do I book a place?
As Staffordshire County Council is not currently delivering this course, booking cannot be made through Staffordshire.
