What is the Staffordshire Enhanced Partnership?

The Enhanced Partnership is a team made up of the County Council and bus companies. We work together to make buses better in Staffordshire. In October 2021, we published our first Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP).

What’s happening now?

In early 2024, the Government asked all councils to update their BSIPs. The new plan must include:

• Updated information from 2023/24.
• A programme for 2024/25 to improve bus services.
• Short-term actions (up to 2029).
• Long-term ideas (up to 2050).

What will affect the plan?

The new BSIP depends on:

• How much money is available.
• Other projects being delivered.
• Key decisions being made.
• Bus companies being ready.

The BSIP is a live document. This means we will keep updating it as we get:

• New data and insights.
• Extra funding.
• Bus company plans.
• New technology.
