Report problem parking
We can carry out parking enforcement where restrictions are in place. Our civil enforcement officers (CEOs) can also address vehicles blocking dropped kerbs used for pedestrian, disabled or vehicle access crossings.
Traffic regulation orders
If any of the following restrictions apply, you can report a parking issue online. Our officers will assess and may visit the location:
- Time limited waiting bays
- Double or single yellow lines
- On-street pay and display bays
- Permit parking schemes
- Disabled parking bays
- Loading bays
- Bus stops
- Taxi bays
- School keep clear markings
- Clearways
- Dropped kerb access (requires written consent from the property owner)
- Pedestrian crossings
- Double-parking (vehicles parked more than 50 cm from the kerb)
- Weight restrictions
Report a parking issue online.
Where no restrictions exist
You can still report certain types of problem parking, such as:
- Parking near schools
- Blocking dropped kerbs (vehicle access crossings)
If you want to request new restrictions (e.g. double yellow lines), use the report it form and select the parking icon under 'road safety'. You can also report damaged signs there.
Police matters
Some parking issues are dealt with by the police, including:
- Dangerous or obstructive parking
- Blocking pedestrian or disabled crossing points
- Parking on chevrons at pedestrian crossings
- Parking on roads with double white lines
- Double-parking (more than 50 cm from the kerb)
- Parking too close to a junction
Moving traffic offences are also handled by the police. These may result in immediate fines and are not enforced by civil enforcement officers.
If there are no parking restrictions in place (e.g. yellow lines), contact the police via the non-emergency number 101.
