How much does a sign cost?
There is a non-refundable application fee of £120. Additional costs for administration, design, and maintenance will apply and are quoted exclusive of VAT. All further costs are paid by the applicant.
Apply for a tourism sign
Tourism signs (white on brown) are for directional purposes only and not for advertising. A tourist attraction must be a permanent area or building that is open to the public without booking during normal opening hours.

Apply for an amenity sign
Amenities must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 5,000 visitors per year
- Open at least 50 days per year
- Only signposted from the nearest A or B road, town, or village
Eligible amenities include:
- Retail facilities
- Recreational and sports facilities
- Schools and children's nurseries
- Churches and places of worship
