Bridge foster scheme is a brand-new scheme where carers provide short‑term, emergency homes for children aged 0–18 for a minimum of 72 hours up to 28 days. This immediate support helps professionals understand what each child needs next, whether that’s returning home or moving to mainstream foster care.
We’re looking for individuals or couples who:
- Have experience supporting children, especially those who may have experienced trauma
- Can welcome any children aged 0–18 on the same day
- Have at least one spare bedroom and a stable home environment
- Are aged 21+, emotionally resilient, and good communicators
- Can work confidently as part of a professional team
- Understand safeguarding and adolescent risks
- Are car users
- Have no children in the home (however homes with children aged 14–18 may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis)
