The Staffordshire Way spans the length of the County. The route is based on public rights of way, paths on which access has been granted or canal towpaths and have been waymarked and signposted.
There are several waymarked routes on the Staffordshire Way:
- A Staffordshire primary school has won regional recognition for its work promoting active and sustainable travel and combatting air pollution outside their school.
- Two farmers from Meerbrook in Leek have pleaded guilty to a series of animal welfare offenses.
- Pupils from Heath Hayes Primary Academy in Cannock are urging drivers to switch off their engines outside school as part of a new campaign to reduce air pollution.
- A successful scheme designed to prevent accidents involving deer by keeping them away from the road is being expanded.
