Keeping them active

Children and young people need to be active for 60 minutes a day to stay well and healthy but currently just 23% of boys and 20% of girls aged 5 to 15 years get the recommended amount.

There are many health benefits for being active, such as; improving bone and heart health, building social skills and boosting self-confidence and mental wellbeing.

To help you peel your family away from their screens over the summer and get them moving head over to the NHS website where you can find games, hobbies and sports.

Train like a Jedi

Taking inspiration from everyone's favourite Star Wars characters, Rey and Luke, your kids can have fun, work hard and Train Like A Jedi with a fun, play along video.  New games are added to the website everyweek. May the Force be with you!

Change4Life and Disney teamed up again to bring you new Shake Up games inspired by The Incredibles 2. These 10-minute bursts of fun will really get your kids moving and count towards the 60 active minutes they need every day.
