Programmes for young offenders

Staffordshire Youth Offending Services offers many services to Parents/Carers and Young People to support them in often very difficult times.

NewLife

Young people who have broken the law can help others through a special project called Newlife.

What is Newlife?

Newlife is a charity that helps children who are disabled or terminally ill. It gives them things they need to make life easier.

How do young people help?

As part of their community payback, young people can:

  • Fix broken jewellery
  • Help get items ready to sell in Newlife shops

The money made from selling these items helps pay for things like:

  • Special equipment
  • Support for families
  • Help for children under 19 who are disabled or very ill

Why is this important?

This project helps young people give something back to the community. It also helps them learn new skills and feel proud of helping others.

Newlife has been very supportive of this work, and we hope the partnership continues to grow.
