About library volunteering
Volunteering with Staffordshire Libraries
Staffordshire Libraries offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities across our network of libraries. Whether you're looking to support your local community, gain new skills, or simply share your love of books and learning, there's a role for you.
County Managed Libraries
We have 16 County Managed Libraries where volunteers help deliver a variety of activities and services. These roles are designed to support library staff and enhance the experience for visitors, including helping with events, reading groups, and digital support sessions.
Community Managed Libraries
There are also 27 Community Managed Libraries run entirely by teams of dedicated local volunteers. These libraries offer greater flexibility in volunteering roles, allowing individuals to get involved in everything from day-to-day operations to planning and delivering community events.
