Photocopying

In order to preserve the Library's collections we cannot supply copies of the following :

• case-bound volumes;
• multi-membrane parchment documents;
• maps and other items exceeding 60cm by 90cm (24" by 36") in size;
• items including printed books which have undergone extensive conservation work;
• fragile items
• Staffordshire Views

In addition photocopying is also dependent on current United Kingdom copyright legislation.

Search fees are not normally charged where documents can be easily and quickly identified for photocopying. A search fee will be charged if a search in the documents is required to identify individual items for copying. We will notify you if your request requires a search to be made. We can supply an estimate in advance of the cost of copies for larger orders, but a search fee will be charged for doing so.
