Holiday Activities and Food

HAF Easter 2024 Banner

If your child is eligible, they can have up to four free places on our Easter Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. This will run from Monday 25  March to Friday 5 April 2024, and includes a healthy meal with every place booked. Eligible children will have received a 'HAF' school code. Please use the same code for any brothers or sisters at the same school.

Please contact the club immediately if your child can no longer attend. This means the place can be offered to another child and food is not wasted.

Please note: bookings open for Easter on 11 March at 4pm.

Our annual report for 2022 can be viewed on our website.

Background

The Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF) is funded by the government and requires all Local Authorities to deliver a programme of inclusive activities including a hot meal over the school holidays for children aged 5 – 16 years. It is free to those who receive benefit related school meals.

We have teamed up with local organisations to develop a timetable of enriching activities where children will get the opportunity to try new things, work on arts and crafts, cookery and sport as well as receive a hot meal wherever possible.

The Department for Education has provided funding for this initiative.
