I have submitted an application but have not yet received a written response

A verbal enquiry or visit to a school is not a formal application for a school place and therefore you may not receive a response to your enquiry.

If you have already submitted an application and you do not receive a written response at the very latest within 15 school days then please contact the school by email wherever possible to request a written response to your application.

You have the right to still make an application for a school place even when the school advises you they have no places.

Families experiencing difficulties in obtaining a local school place are advised to email admissions@staffordshire.gov.uk for assistance. It is important to note that transport will only be provided in line with the county council’s transport policy and usually is only provided if your child is attending “the nearest school with vacancies” – if you are unable to obtain a place at a local school and wish to enquire about vacancies at alternative school or your eligibility for home to school transport please email admissions@staffordshire.gov.uk
