Ofsted inspections

Ofsted is currently conducting an inspection of Staffordshire's Children's Services.

These inspections known as Inspection of Local Authority Childrens Services (ILACS), usually occur every three years, but due to COVID-19, the inspection was delayed. The last inspection which took place in January 2019, rated Staffordshire's children's services as 'good'.

The inspection process began on Monday, October 30, and will continue for two weeks.

As Staffordshire’s children’s services are rated as ‘good’, Inspectors will spend the first week conducting desk-based research. They will be present in Staffordshire from Monday, November 6, for one week, at Staffordshire Place 1. Throughout this period, they will actively engage with our social work teams, review case files, observe practices, and conduct interviews with children and parents.

The inspection findings will be published in a report on Osted’s website within 38 working days of the inspection.
