What goes in your food waste caddy?

  • YES: All cooked and raw food, meat and fish bones, fruit and veg peelings, eggshells, tea bags, coffee grounds, and plate scrapings.
  • NO: Packaging, plastic bags, liquids (milk/oil), garden waste, or pet waste.

If it’s food, raw or cooked, it can go in 

Please use your food waste caddies to recycle your: 

Fruit and vegetable peelings
Leftovers and plate scrapings
Bread, cakes and biscuits
Rice, beans and pasta
Meat and fish (including bones)
Eggs and dairy products
Tea bags and coffee grounds
Mouldy or out-of-date food (removed from packaging)

Please do not put the following items in your caddies: 

X Anything plastic (other than your caddy liners. These can go in) 
X Anything glass 
X Anything metal 
X Excess liquids (oils, fats, soups and drinks) 
X Nappies 
X Garden waste 
X Pet waste
X Any other general household waste
