Statutory Education Duties

The statutory educational duties are the responsibility of the local authority and discharged by Helen Riley, who remains the appointed Director of Children’s Services, working closely with members including Councillor Ben Adams, the Cabinet Member for Learning and Skills, and Councillor Mark Sutton, the Lead Member for Children’s Services. Against each duty is shown the “responsible officer”, however, as the work involved will often be delivered by (or commissioned from) other staff and teams, this summary would not replace the usual contact details that you hold. The summary is presented across four broad areas and is not a management structure chart.
