CX059 Structural Maintenance Work for the U4001 Worthington Way and Station Road, Burton Upon Trent
Staffordshire County Council will be carrying out overnight works on the U4001 Worthington Way and Station Road, Burton Upon Trent. The team will be replacing ironwork where necessary, replacing damaged kerbs and resurfacing sections of the carriageway.
More details regarding the timing of the overnight road closures and diversion route for the scheme of works will be provided once our construction programme is finalised

The overnight works will commence on the 11 May to the 29 May 2026

Approximately 3 weeks to complete the works.

What effect could the works have on me?
We take care to make sure that work is completed with the minimum of disturbance to the local community, but as with any major works, some minor traffic delays may occur.
Although we will do our best to ensure that noise pollution is kept to a minimum, it is likely that construction noise will be heard during the working times.
Please take care to plan your journeys and if necessary, move vehicles to an accessible location during work phases.
Residential letters will be delivered to affected businesses and properties with specific scheme details.
