Council announces new Cabinet Member for Finance and Resources

Councillor Sean Bagguley has been appointed Staffordshire County Council’s new Cabinet Member for Finance and Resources, leading on the budget, contracts and performance.

A former marine engineer and financial services professional, he was elected in May 2025 and has held roles on audit, pensions and scrutiny committees.

He has pledged to maintain a balanced budget, deliver value for money, scrutinise spending and explore new income opportunities despite ongoing financial pressures.
