You can borrow eBooks and audiobooks for free using BorrowBox. Some titles are available straight away. Others may need to be reserved.
You need to be a Staffordshire Library member to use BorrowBox.
How to use BorrowBox
Using the app
The easiest way to get started is to download the BorrowBox app to your device.
Open the app, choose ‘Staffordshire County Council’, then enter your library card number and PIN.

Online (on your laptop or PC)
Visit the BorrowBox website and log in with your library ID and pin.
eBook titles can be transferred from a PC or Mac onto many e-Reader devices (excluding Kindle e-Readers). You can then download eBook titles and read them using Adobe’s Free Digital Editions

What you can do
- Search: Browse by title, author or category. Read extracts before you borrow.
- Borrow: Choose a title or reserve it for later.
- Download: Download audiobooks instantly. We’ll email you when reserved titles are ready.
- Enjoy: Read or listen anywhere, anytime.
- Revisit: New titles are added regularly. Check back often.
