Fostering applicant timeline

Find out the steps involved when applying to become a foster carer with us

1. Enquiry

Complete an online enquiry form or call to speak to our fostering team.

2. Initial visit

Once you decide you would like to proceed, you will receive an initial home visit from our fostering team.

3. Detailed Information Form

Following the initial visit, you will receive an email from the fostering team with a link to create your account and complete your Detailed Information Form within the Fostering Village.

4. Introduction to Fostering course

You will be invited to attend an Introduction to Fostering course. (This is optional if you are already an approved foster carer and are transferring to us).

5. Application to Foster form

Following your attendance at Introduction to Fostering. Log in to the Fostering Village to complete your Application to Foster form and Financial Implications Form.

6. Application assessed

The Fostering team will check all your paperwork, accept your Application to Foster and you will be allocated your assessing social worker.

7. Fostering Assessment and completion of statutory forms

Your assessment will now start and you will be asked to log in to the Fostering Village to complete the statutory forms and tasks as part of the assessment process.

8. Application complete

Once you assessment has been successfully completed, you will attend fostering panel for your application to be considered.
