County councillor's fund

Our county councillors have funding available to support a huge range of community activities, and community groups can submit new applications each year.

Applying for the county councillor's fund

You must first communicate with the County Councillor you are seeking funding from to ensure they are willing to support your application.

You must complete and submit your application through the online form.

Officers administering the fund will carry out due diligence on applications to ensure that they meet the fund eligibility criteria, and all necessary information is contained and confirmed.

Your County Councillor will consider your application, undertaking additional due diligence as outlined in Eligibility for funding section.

The Cabinet Member for Communities and Culture will assess all applications to ensure that they meet the policy and ambitions of the Council.

The Head of Member and Democratic Services, as budget holder, will approve the financial transaction for applications that are submitted under the member fund.

If any party do not feel that an application meets the criteria set out in this document, or if there isn’t enough information in the application, you may be contacted to discuss this, and your application may be returned to you to amend and resubmit, or it may be rejected.

The final decision remains with the Cabinet Member for Communities and Culture.

If the County Councillor has already spent their fund allocation for the year you will be informed of this and the application will be rejected.
