Supervision & resolving issues
Regular supervision helps maintain a positive working relationship and prevents problems from escalating. It’s also an opportunity to review performance, discuss training needs, and make sure your Personal Assistant (PA) feels supported.
Supervision
- Meet every 3–6 months (or more often if needed).
- Encourage open and honest discussion about what’s working well and what could improve.
- Record the meeting notes for future reference – this protects both you and your PA.
Resolving issues
Having clear policies in place helps everyone understand what to do if something goes wrong:
- Disciplinary policy – for issues like lateness, poor performance, or misconduct.
- Grievance policy – so your PA can raise concerns safely and fairly.
