REF: Draft Policing Service Budget and Precept 2024/25
Thank you for your response to my proposed budget and policing precept increase for 2024/25, following the Police and Crime Panel meeting held on 5th February 2024.
I note the comments that you have made following scrutiny of the budget proposal and your support for the budget and precept increase without any recommendations.
I note Panel comments that the transformation plans will be key to the budget proposals being achieved, and that once delivered results need to be seen in terms of reducing crime and improving service.
I note the Panel request to have updates on progress against Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and transformation projects. I will provide these alongside future budget update reports, and will include benefit realisation linked to areas of investment and transformation.
I believe the £13 increase for 2024/25 will assist Staffordshire Police to better address the threats and risks and potential harm that are faced in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent during the budget year 2024/25 and beyond.
