Improvements at Park Wood Drive should take 8 weeks to complete.
A highways improvements scheme at Madeley Park in Newcastle is due to start on Monday 19 January.
The £500,000 scheme on Park Wood Drive will include the resurfacing of the road along with repairs to kerbs and ironworks. The work is expected to take around eight weeks to complete and is being carried out by Staffordshire County Council.
To make sure the work can be done safely, temporary traffic lights will be in operation for much of the scheme. The road will also be closed for a few nights between 7pm and 6am to allow for the resurfacing of the road. Access for residents to nearby roads will be maintained where ever possible.
Patrick Allen, Cabinet Support Member for Highways North at Staffordshire County Council, said:
“This scheme follows a previous scheme at Gateway Avenue in Baldwins Gate and is part of our wider investment in improving roads right across the borough and the county.
“The work should take around eight weeks to complete and crews will be doing all they can to minimise disruption to residents. Once again I’d like to thank people in advance for their patience while we get the scheme completed.”
