People in Eccleshall and Gnosall have a week to register to vote in next month’s county council by-election for the division.

Anyone still not registered to vote can do so up to and including Tuesday 1 July. People can find out more by visiting Stafford Borough Council’s register to vote webpage.

The postal vote deadline is Wednesday 2 July. The by-election is being held on Thursday 17 July, with nearly 11,000 electors able to visit one of 16 polling stations across the division.

People will need to bring photographic identification with them to vote at a polling station, such as a passport, driving licence or disabled blue badge.

Anyone without required identification can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate until 5pm on Wednesday 9 July on the government webpage.

For all information about the by-election, including candidates, people should visit Stafford Borough Council’s by-election webpage, email elections@staffordbc.gov.uk or call 01785 619424.
