The newly resurfaced B5027 Stone Road in Uttoxeter.
A highways improvement scheme to resurface a road in Uttoxeter has been completed.
This Staffordshire County Council highways project saw crews reconstruct the B5027 Stone Road at its junction with Springfield Road to The Dove Church last week.
Crews also carried out repairs to kerbs, drainage, manhole covers, gullies and other ironworks.
The scheme, costing £110,000, was completed in four days.
Peter Mason, Cabinet Member for Strategic Highways at Staffordshire County Council, said:
“I am very pleased to see another road scheme completed on schedule in East Staffordshire and I want to thank everyone for their patience.
“Our crews are very efficient in that, whenever they resurface a road, they always carry out repairs to the surrounding drains, kerbs and other assets as well, which saves money and reduces the need for further road closures in the same area later down the line. As a county council, we really want to do more of this going forward.
“Our crew worked hard to complete these works as quickly as possible to minimise disruption to the local community. I hope residents will notice the difference this makes to their journeys and community environment.”
