Staffordshire highways crews will resurface a section of Stone Road in Uttoxeter next week.
A highways improvement scheme to resurface a road in Uttoxeter will be carried out next week.
This Staffordshire County Council highways project – starting on Tuesday 27 May - will see crews work on the B5027 Stone Road at its junction with Springfield Road to The Dove Church.
Crews will also be carrying out repairs to kerbs, drainage, manhole covers, gullies and other ironworks.
The overall scheme, costing £110,000, is expected to be completed within four days.
Resurfacing will be completed under daytime road closures between the hours of 7.30am and 5pm. A clearly signed diversion route will be in place and affected residents have been written to. Crew members will be onsite to assist people needing access to properties within the closure points.
Peter Mason, Cabinet Member for Strategic Highways at Staffordshire County Council, said:
“Improving Staffordshire’s roads is a top priority for us so it’s great to see this much-needed upgrade going ahead in Uttoxeter next week.
“Our crews will make every effort to complete these works as efficiently as possible so that disruption is minimised to the local community. I’m sure residents will appreciate the smooth new surface when the work is complete.”
