12-15 vaccine clinic at Cheadle Hospital this Saturday

Posted on Tuesday 9th November 2021

Covid-19 vaccines will be available for young people at a walk-in clinic at Cheadle Hospital (ST10 1NS) on Saturday 13 November.

The clinic will be offering doses of the Pfizer vaccine to people aged 12-15 years old from 9am to 3:45pm with no appointment needed.

Anybody aged 12 and over is now eligible for their Covid-19 vaccine. The 12-15 clinics are managed by the NHS and give parents and guardians the option to get their child jabbed outside of school hours.

Cabinet Support Member for Public Health and Integrated Care, Dr Johnny McMahon, said:

“Vaccination remains the best way to protect ourselves against Covid-19. People might think they’re not at risk if they’re younger or if they’ve already had Covid-19, but in both cases it is still vital to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

“This virus has not gone away and could still cause people of any age very serious health complications in the short-term and long-term, so the sooner you get vaccinated the better. More than 270 people were able to get their Covid jab at Leek Moorlands Hospital last weekend and this is another fantastic opportunity for young people in the area to get protected, so please make use of the clinic if you still need your vaccine.”

Parents and guardians need to attend vaccine clinics with their child as consent will be required on the day.
