Staffordshire County Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

No Waiting at Any Time – Friars Avenue, Church Street & Whitebridge Lane, Stone

Statement of Reasons

The planned TRO is proposed with the support of the local member as a means of addressing concerns raised by the local community with regards the safety of non motorised users at the following locations:

• Friars Avenue - Outside Pirehill First School.

• Church Street - Adjacent to St. Michael’s Church

• Whitebridge Lane/Whitebridge Way – Outside Arundel House, entering into Whitebridge Way

To address the safety issues it is proposed to provide no waiting at any time restrictions at the above locations as shown on drawing ref: 2202-1200-001. It is proposed to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Schedule

No Waiting at Any Time Friars Avenue (Both sides) from a point approximately 13m northeast of the junction with Trilling Drive, heading in a south-westerly direction to the junction with Trilling Drive. This proposal revokes an 8m section of no waiting Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm restriction on the north west side of Friars Avenue.

No Waiting at Any Time Church Street (South side) from the property boundary of ‘The Lynton’, heading in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately 24m.

No Waiting at Any Time Whitebridge Lane (Both sides) from the southern point, of the access to Arundel House heading in a north-easterly direction to the junction with Whitebridge Way, a distance of approximately 31m. Whitebridge Way (Both Sides) from the junction with Whitebridge Lane heading in a south-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 28m
