Work experience opportunities for teenagers

We're looking for 13 to 24-year-olds with a passion for reading to help us run children’s activities, organise events, and more in local libraries over the summer.

This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to get valuable experience for further education or job applications, as well as have some fun!

In return for their help we'll offer your child opportunities to:

  • Gain experience to support job and further education applications

  • Meet new people

  • Support their local library and community

  • Help children develop a love of reading

  • Have their say in what your library offers young people

  • Have fun!

Their volunteering hours can also contribute to Duke of Edinburgh, Arts Award and other accreditations.
