Leadership Development

Part of the role of a Management within an organisation is to guide, support and develop their staff, but they themselves should be supported to develop their own potential.

Managers should be able to meet the Manager Induction Standards, outlined by Skills for Care. They should also be able to evidence the values and behaviours outlined in the Skills for Care Leadership Qualities Framework.

Individuals in a management role should be supported and developed, to ensure they have the skills to lead the service.

Individuals with management potential should be identified and supported to develop their own leadership skills.

More information on how support and develop managers can be found on Skills for Care.
