Workforce Development Funding

The Workforce Development Fund (WDF) was a funding stream from the Department of Health and Social Care, which was distributed by Skills for Care between 2011 and 2025.

The WDF provided a funding contribution to employers for a broad range of qualifications, apprenticeships, learning programmes and digital learning modules, supporting the professional development of the adult social care workforce.
This funding has now been replaced with The Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS) for the adult social care workforce.
