Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT)
The Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) is a self-assessment for both health and care organisations. It supports care providers to evidence how they keeps people’s information safe.
All CQC registered care providers should complete the toolkit at least once a year, but it can also be completed by non-registered care providers.
Successful completion of the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) is required to obtain NHS mail.
There is support available through the Better Security, Better Care support programme, with a range of tools and resource designed to help support you complete the toolkit. There are also recordings from previous webinar and future webinars are also available.
