What do the sensory team provide?

Question:
What do the sensory team provide?
Answer:
The sensory team will assess individuals remotely or in their own home to support and empower individuals in managing their deafness, visual loss and deafblindness. This will include provision of specialist information, advice and guidance to adults and children living in Staffordshire. As part of your assessment, this may include a person-centred rehabilitation programme and provision of specialist sensory equipment to meet your identified needs. This can include a programme such as support to adjust to sensory loss, mobility and orientation training skills, coping strategies and techniques as well as awareness of risks, hazards and managing safety.
