Plasterboard / Plaster should not be placed in any of your kerbside bins. Plasterboard / Plaster is made up of gypsum and when this is disposed of with biodegradable waste it can produce a poisonous gas. It is a legal requirement that Plasterboard / Plaster is disposed of separately. It must be dry and any tiles, wood etc should be removed. 

It is not a statutory duty for the sites to take waste that isn’t produced in the normal day-to-day occupation of a home. Waste from DIY or garden work is not legally regarded as normal household rubbish and a charge or disposal limit can be made.

How much does it cost?

£5 per bag. The first two bags are free of charge 

  • Plasterboard sheets (£5 full sheet 180 cm x 90 cm).
  • Coving (polystyrene not chargeable).
  • Ceiling rose (polystyrene not chargeable).
  • Plaster or unused bags of plaster powder.

How do I pay?

Either by credit or debit card on arrival.

Please note: no cash or cheques will be accepted. 

What do I need to do?

All Plasterboard / Plaster or plaster must be separated and clean, before coming on to a site. If it is attached to wallpaper or tiles, or contains any wire meshing, the load will not be accepted. 

Where can I take these?
