Support for parents of young offenders

If your child has broken the law or is at risk of doing so, we’re here to help you.

What support involves

Talking about your child’s behaviour

We start by listening. You can tell us what’s hard, what’s going well, and what you’d like to change. We’ll agree simple goals that feel realistic.

Learning how to set clear rules and boundaries

We’ll help you create a few clear house rules, explain them in a way your child understands, and back them up with consistent routines and consequences.

Getting help with things like school, drugs, or alcohol

If wider issues are involved—school attendance, friendships, substance use, or emotional wellbeing—we can link you to the right services and work together on a joined‑up plan.

Agreeing a plan that works for your family

You’ll choose the strategies that fit your values, culture, and daily life. We’ll review progress often and tweak the plan so it stays helpful.

Support can last a few weeks or a few months, depending on what you need. We’ll check in regularly and won’t keep you longer than necessary.
