The Council is responsible for 308 primary schools, 14 middle schools, 55 high schools, and 23 special schools, as well as a number of nursery schools. Our Student Finance Service provides help on financial support for students taking post "A" level study. But learning doesn't stop when you leave school or university - we are just as keen to offer adults access to learning and training, for example, through the Adult and Community Learning division.
We also have a wealth of opportunities for people to access informal education and learning; encouraging young people via Staffordshire Youth Service, access to a variety of media through some 45 libraries and 12 mobile libraries, even making sure that your little ones are cared for when they go to nursery, through the Early Years and Childcare Unit.
We're all learning, every single one of us, every second of every day. The County Council believes it is everyone's right to learn, and we do all we can to make sure the opportunities exist.
