Community learning service privacy notice

Staffordshire County Council’s Community Learning Service provides informal and formal learning programmes for all Staffordshire adults aged 19+.

  • The learning programmes are funded by Grants from the Government.
  • The programmes are delivered by Providers commissioned by the Council.
  • There are criteria that learners need to meet to be eligible for the funding.

The information we collect from you on the application forms is used to secure funding and to provide learning programmes to eligible learners.

How we share the information

Your information is shared with the organisation delivering the programme on behalf of Staffordshire County Council. This is so they can offer you a place. Where required, they will carry out eligibility checks to ensure you are entitled to receive the training.

Your information is shared with the Government Department providing the funding, such as Department of Education and Education and Skills Funding Agency. Staffordshire County Council is required to share a limited amount of information with these departments in order to claim the grant money.

For further details of how Staffordshire County Council processes your information, how to exercise your information rights and how to contact the council’s Data Protection Officer, please refer to the main Privacy Notice.

The Privacy Notice for Learners funded by the Department of Education and Education and Skills Funding Agency is available from their website:

Your training provider should make their Privacy Notice available to you when you enrol in a course.
