Employees and volunteers undertake a variety of driving activities in the delivery of essential activities. Health and safety law applies to on-the-road work activities and Managers are therefore required to ensure the risks are effectively managed.

All Managers will need to ensure that driving for work activities are risk assessed and undertaken safely.  

A number of template risk assessments have been developed which should be adjusted to reflect the risks of the local activity.
