Safer Motorcycling

Staffordshire Safer Roads PartnershipEvery year thousands of people are killed or seriously injured on our roads. Motor cyclists suffer disproportionately. They represent less than 1% of road traffic, but account for around 22% of deaths and serious injuries on Staffordshire's roads; they are 45 times more likely to be killed than a car driver.

The Road Safety Unit manages a comprehensive programme of initiatives to reduce motorcycle road casualties including training schemes, events, diesel spillage campaigns and the very successful 'Ride it Right' campaign.

For full details on the complete programme and more information please visit the Staffs Biker website.

Young riders are particularly vulnerable and so we have specific events and initiatives emgaging young bikers. Information for young riders and their parents can be found on our Young Rider website.
