Scheme end questions

What is changing?

The Your Staffordshire card scheme is ending on the 31 August 2019.

Why is the scheme ending?

There are many financial pressures on local authorities which has meant a number of savings have to be made. The YSC is not statutory and we have already made changes to try and make the card sustainable. Unfortunately this has not been possible and there are other options available from the bus companies.

How will this affect me?

You will be able to use your Your Staffordshire card until 31 August 2019. There are a number of ticketing options available from bus operators please check with your local bus company.

What if I lose my card?

If you lose your you pass there will still be a £10 charge. You will not receive a 12 month pass, but one with an expiry of 31 August 2019.

When is this happening?

Now. All new applications will have an expiry date of 31 August 2019.

Is there anything else available?

Bus operators offer discounted tickets, such as weekly or monthly passes. Please check with the bus company that you use.

What if my card has an expiry after 31 August 2019?

Any cardholders that have a card with an expiry date later than 31 August 2019 will be considered null and void after this date.
