This is a great way to get out and about, or see friends and relatives in other villages without using your car.

The service is available for anyone who lives, works or visits in the area. There is no age restriction; we can accommodate people with wheelchairs', pushchairs or bicycles.

This service's operating area now includes passengers travelling from Oakamoor, Alton and Greendale. Passengers from these areas will be transported to and from Cheadle or Denstone to connect for onward journeys only.

Where does the service run?

This service operates around six community 'hubs':

  • Flash
  • Longnor
  • Warslow
  • Hartington
  • Waterhouses
  • Leek

When does the service run?

  • Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm
  • Saturday from 8am to 6pm

During term time the buses will be undertaking school routes so they will be unavailable for a short period of time in the morning and afternoon

Journey options

Scheduled Services

Our timetabled service allows regular trips without the need to book the bus. It operates at fixed times into:

  • Leek on Wednesdays
  • Ashbourne on Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Buxton on Fridays

Please be aware that the Monday timetables service is no longer operating due to a lack of demand.

Dial a Ride

This service can take you from your home address (wherever possible) to your destination or as close as possible, however, you must book ahead.

How much does it cost?

  • Adults
    £2.00 single or £3.80 return

  • Children
    £1.20 per journey

  • Concessionary passes

We also accept and sell Derbyshire Wayfarer tickets which are ideal for completing journeys to Derbyshire.

The line is open between 8am to 5pm on Monday to Friday. Calls are charged at normal rates.

Group bookings can also be made on this booking line.

Booking is available on the day but you must give 2 hours notice prior to your journey time. Please remember the "Dial a Ride" option is on a first come first served basis.
