Parking waivers

A temporary parking waiver will allow you to bypass some parking restrictions but will only be issued in specific circumstances. Likewise, if you need to stop vehicles from parking in a marked bay, you can request that the bay be suspended, and if you want to park there yourself, a waiver would also be required.

How much does it cost?

Parking Bay Suspensions

If you require parking bays to be suspended and you have gained approval from Staffordshire County Council, you will need to erect parking bay suspension signs in line with the specifications set out by the Department for Transport:

PDF DocumentRoad Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Sections 64 and 65 (1.18 MB)

Please note there is a £32.00 application review fee for a Parking Bay Suspension

You will also need to apply for a parking waiver for all vehicles which park within the bay. Please follow the application form.

In addition, you will need to contact our Network Management Unit regarding working in the Highway nmu@staffordshire.gov.uk if you have not already done so through the usual NRSWA processes.
