FAQ

Answer:

A parking waiver will allow you to bypass some traffic restrictions, but will only be issued in exceptional circumstances.

Under certain conditions they may be granted for a maximum of 3 weeks at a specific location, but no longer. If you need more time, you must make new applications in order to allow the parking, traffic and safety situation to be reviewed. If your parking waiver application is granted, this does not guarantee that additional applications at the same location will also be granted.

If a permit is issued it must be clearly displayed on the vehicle.

If the waiver is displayed on a different vehicle, or if it is altered in any way, it will be deemed invalid and a penalty charge notice will be issued.

Answer:

We may issue a waiver after giving consideration to the following questions:

  • Was it received in a timely manner?
  • Do you need constant access to the vehicle(s)?
  • What road safety/traffic implications does the parking of the vehicle(s) in the requested location have?
  • Has the applicant provided all the necessary details required?
  • Could an alternative location or resolution be found?
  • Has the applicant paid the appropriate fee?
  • Does the request meet the waiver duration guidelines?
Answer:

The vehicle must be moved on the request or instructions of a police officer, civil enforcement officer, council officer or utility company contractor. Inspections will be conducted during the waiver to find out if the vehicle is being used for its purpose.

We are not required to offer any compensation or alternative parking. If necessary, a waiver may be withdrawn without notice. Your contact details will be used in this instance to inform you.
