Due to the increasing number of organisations that schools can choose to work and share personal data with, it is not feasible for us to provide a template of a Privacy Notice that can be used without significant modification.
The Department for Education (DfE) provide a template which is in line with the Data Protection legislation and that can be modified to suit each individual schools business needs.

It is up to the school as a data controller to ensure that any data sharing operations that they undertake are reflected within the Privacy Notice they issue.
Organisations that you are most likely to share personal data with and that need to be included are:
- The Local Authority (Staffordshire County Council)
- Entrust
- The NHS
- The Department for Education (DfE)
- Ofsted
- Examining bodies
- Colleges or Universities
Examples of organisations you may also need to share personal data with might include:
- ICT service providers
- Providers of services within or behalf of the school (e.g. school photographer)
You should include any of these organisations in your Privacy Notice if you need to share personal data with them.
If you wish to include a link in your Privacy Notice to the Local Authority website, please ensure that you point them towards the SCC main Privacy Notice page.
