It's important that you get as much as you can out of your library volunteering experience.
With that in mind, we have launched a new ‘Volunteering Speaks Volumes’ course with an accredited qualification. This will help make your CV stand out from the crowd, and help you into a job.
The qualification is an Open College Network West Midlands Level 1 Award in Employability and Development Skills.
What the course offers
The ‘Volunteering Speaks Volumes’ course you will give you an accredited qualification. This will help you show that you have experience with:
- Delivering good customer service
- Understanding the problems of bad customer service
- Making first impressions count
- How to interact with customers
- Respecting the needs of all customers
- Deal with customer complaints
Those that sign up for 30 hours of volunteering will have a chance to train for the qualification. The first 100 people who sign up to the training will be able to earn the qualification for free.
